西门町 | Car free District | Taiwan

Xi men Ding located at Wan Hua District in Tai Pei, Taiwan,
It was the 1st Pedestrian Zone in Taiwan.
Xi Men Ding was known as
Shibuya of Japan
where it attract many Japanese tourist to visit here.
Xi Men Ding was dominated by Japan year back to its history.
Thus, it also home several historical sites. One of the famous architectural representative building was the
Red House Theather which originally opened as a market and now
intervened as hand craft market.

Xi Men Ding was famous of it shopping paradise where all the shops are
arranged accordingly,
we can find different category of shops at certain area
such as, Food street, American Street, Cinema Street, Tatoo Street and etc

Third day of my taiwan trip,
I took train with my friend Egg and Kelly to XI Men Station,
we first approach to the historical site near Xin Men Ding.
Then, We head to different part and zone of the Xi Men Ding,
The extreme sport zone

Tattoo Street

Japanese Zone

Street Art zone
Which will be painted again and again to keep the graffiti wall up-to-date

it is also the main district for LGBT of Taiwan where the pubs, clubs
can be found around the site.
(My Taiwan friend call this place as
Rainbow Street)

The must visit place was the eating place!
As my friend told me this was the oldest shop that sell
the 'octopus soup and fried carrot cake'
The source of the ' fried oyster' was similar as the fried carrot cake which
was absolutely delicious. It is only TWD 50 for one plate
the second thing that my friend introduce me was the
Roasted BBQ drumstick which is located beside the cinema,
She insisted us to have this as snack as she told us
she always buy this and have this while watching the cinema.
The dishes at the left was known as 卤味,
combination of all the marinated bean curb, vegetable, duck wing, duck tongue and intestine.
It was very light and good to have it with beer! especially the intestine which was
marinated and known as 脆肠! very crispy ;D

The Xi Men Ding tour was ended by a bowl of A Zong Mee Sua!
Thanks for all my Taiwan friend to bring me around!
especially Egg and Kelly!
